Dickie Normuss
Angus, will the MV530i take a powered external mic? A thorough BC and interweb search hasn't yeilded the answer VX HPC - Loud and proud here Watch out, whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly

nickaddison
I think so - I use an MV500i in the 7 and it has 3 inputs - LANC, AV, mic I think the 530 is the same. Depends on how you're using it though as you only use the AV socket for a bullet cam, but that feeds both the video and audio into the same input - you can't use the mic socket as well at the same time IIRC. In that case though you'd just plug it in via the bullet cam wiring with an adapter if necessary What are you trying to do?
