Tonycaterham
I am in the process of getting rid of excess wiring so if this switch/warning required for the MOT? Tony L7 EVL
F355GTS
Tony Switch is not required if there is the push button on top of the master cylinder, you will need a warning light though that comes on in the event of fluid loss or if the button is pressed to confirm the circuit is working Mark
Billyboy
switch/warning required for the MOT? Yes a means of warning for fluid loss and a means for checking that system is working is a requirement I would not say this was excess wiring. Tonycaterham
Thanks, I have seen piccies of a few revised 7 dashes that do not seem to have any switch relating to brake fail switch and my last 7 did not have one but that was a Q reg my latest is a 98 Roadsport. I am just trying to simply the wiring as being a ex race car it all seems a bit of a mess at the momment and preapring it for fitting of a Race Trechnology Dash 2 hopefully. Support Team Shaun_E Posted December 28, 2007 Support Team Share Posted December 28, 2007 Not required at all for the MOT see here, after all how can they test it? It may of course be part of Construction and Use regulations. Yellow SL #32 - member of Drowned Rat Racing
Billyboy
if its fitted then its included. IIRC Otherwise why would my MOT inspector test it? Maybe if it is not fitted then................But as says it may be part of the SVA requirement included in C and U.
