Does anybody know the size of the rivets I'll require for replacement? I'll also need black ones so if you know of a source that too would be helpful. JACK FLASH Posted December 27, 2007 Share Posted December 27, 2007 Grandpa, I launched the same idea a couple of weeks ago but so far I haven' t found anyone who has actually done it. When I take off the interior panels in a couple of months, I' m probably going to use a few screws or rivnuts for the places that are difficult to reach and stay with the standard rivets for the other ones. Binding plates together of binding a plate on a steel member with rivets is always better for the total strength of the system than with screws. In some manuals and books on the Seven there is warning to be careful with the interior panels and the tunnel plates because these pieces are vital for the strength of the complete car.
