Meant to put these on ebay, but have left it too late for Christmas...

These are brand new, but a few years old (if you see what I mean). Indeed the Duracell batteries included say "best installed by March 2003". The packaging is not sealed, so you could replace the battery with a fresh one before giving.

 

Also have a couple of 2 x AAA Mini Maglites. Like this. £8 including post (though you can get one from Amazon in a nicer hard case for a tenner, with fresher batteries. So probably not a great deal!)
