Billyboy
I think mine has given up the ghost its been a little problematic for a while and various things have been done to track a small fault (NO fuel pump on start )but I now think its the multi-function-relay-unit. Mine apperas to be the older model as per angus's website although my car is an 04 build R300 Anyone have a spare they dont want for sale / or I could loan to try to see if that eliminates my problem 😬 Thanks Edited by - billyboy on 9 Dec 2007 18:23:30 Edited by - billyboy on 11 Dec 2007 15:11:

rj
If it's just the fuel pump that doesn't run it may also be the inertia switch

Billyboy
RJ - can this be bypassed and where is it - is it that button looking thing on the bulkhead at the back of the battery?
rj
Exactly, And you can bypass it in the plug by inserting a bit of wire. But start by trying to reset it... /r

Billyboy
OK so far Checked all fuses Checked power to pump - nothing on the meter so I assume pump ok just getting no power Checked inertia switch by pypassing it - no change everything works but fuel pump everything points to the MRFU 😔 Am I missing anything here? I have missed out on a glorious sunny day *cry* Edited by - Billyboy on 11 Dec 2007 15:16:
Mick Day
Billy This may help you in determining power in & power out to the MRFU relays here. Mick

Billyboy
OK can you expand on this - Mine seems to be working as normal.. BUT...................what am I looking for............. When red led flashes like mad then the imobiliser has kicked in and car will not start BUT I have never encountered a problem thus far ? mobiliser goes off when proximity dangly thing on keyring is picked up by wire loop near ignition switch. 🤔

shn7
Twas just a thought. Does the immobiliser in your installation disable the fuel pump? If so then perhaps it's not dis-arming correctly. Try a reset (if it's the Rover item then press either button on the fob 5 times over about 2 seconds). Steve. mav
The Immobiliser is screwed. I now know how to bypass on though. Big thanks to Julian Thompson too, who gave time and advise (remotely) freely between dealing with customers. New Immobiliser to be fitted by Julian soon
