Mark Durrant
Gambo/Trevor I think it will fit as all 6 speeds are the same but suggest you check with Steve Mell or Alex Wong as they both use a 6 speed with an XE. Mark D Comp Sec

Rob Walker
Gambo, Not all six speed boxes have the same input shaft. The very early ones had a 205mm (long) input shaft the later ones were 195mm. I think that you may need the early one for your VX. Be sure to check or it will cost you £180 plus fitting for the correct one. Rob
Gambo
Thanks Rob. Trevor, could you measure the input shaft length Please. RED 2.0 HPC 230BHP here
Alex Wong1697456877
Rob, I bought mine from Caterham earlier this year. They said their current one was fine and the same for a Vx and a K, and it seems fine in my Vx. The spigot is definitely seated in it's bush. Garibaldi
My 6 speeder is out of the car and a quick rough measure of the input shaft gives 195mm ish It was originally from a K racer but has been in my Vx HPC for about 6 years.... Only had to change the nose profile slightly to suit the steel crank... std iron crank was no problem..... Gary
