jackb_ms
I was wondering if an Elise Radiator would fit in a 7 / 21? Or they are much too big? They are so many Elises which end up at the scrapyard I could get myself a bargain ali rad. Jack Emily, The Very Yellow

jackb_ms
*thumbup*Cheers Kev 😬 Could you narrow to which Polo I need to look into? Cheers Jack Emily, The Very Yellow 21 Edited by - jackb_ms on 20 Nov 2007 13:09:
Kevsta
I think it is the late 90's version, I think the golf one also fits as they are the same size but thicker and better cooling properties. If you look on generic kit car sites then they'll know as they use them in slyva's, fisher's etc. I fitted one to my old striker with crossflow (135bhp) and it NEVER had cooling problems after that). Have a look in motor parts direct and ask them for dimensions...might be another way forward...you can see the thickness then too as it depends on the engine size etc.

Malc Dudley
The elise radiator is over 650mm wide and will not look at a seven. It is mounted horizontal on the crash structure. dragged along by 195 horses
peterg
Most Westfields use the Polo radiator, it's the Mk1 Polo 1.0 model - here's a quote from a thread on the WSCC Boardroom got one from applied radiators. Its the one listed for a 1.0 vw polo. cost 28 quid plus vat and delivery listed as VW302 on this page here or failing that, they're also available from www.gsfcarparts.com :- 17321B RADIATOR PO 1.05 & 1.3 With 380mm Core Rad. 8/83 >9/90 £43.50 here Edited by - peterg on 20 Nov 2007 14:40:
jackb_ms
The other question would be how efficient are they? In a 21 the rad lay paralelle to the ground and good efficient rad is realy needed. My standard rad could not get the temperature down during a mapping session in May. This session was aborded and I could not play with my new toy ☹️ a new shiny set of RB 😬. Maybe I just should get a Radtec one Jack Emily, The Very Yellow
