Mike Molloy
Do you think Mr Barnby gets upset at the ability of SO MANY people to spell his name wrong? 😔
Mickrick
Any chance of better pictures? Are they mint? The older I get, the faster I was!
Irrelevant
They are 1" wider than standard. If this extra width is on the inner rims, they won't fit a Caterham
Powderpuff
I assume they'll fit a normal 7...says they came off a Caterham Blackbird in the answer to the question posed by a bidder The name's Puff, Powder Puff N7XTC
Irrelevant
PP: Coming off a Caterham means nothing . .. I have bespoke MB wheels and they come off a caterham (mine) but they won't go on anyone else's. If these are from a trick hillclimb car (which I think they are) it may well have had bespoke wingstays(like mine has) and other stuff changed which will mean these wheels won't go on a standard car. Irrelevant
BTW: I asked him where the extra inch on each rim was - outer/inner rim or a combination. Not had a reply yet.
Powderpuff
Fair enough Adam....my wallet looks on hoping they won't fit my car
Ian B
Gordon, Mick Smith had some wide MB wheels recently and had to make some minor mods to get them to fit I believe. Might be worth giving him a bell? Cheers, Ian Ian - MI 5EVN - Slightly Vider SVelte model 😬 now repainted to match the Autocom headsets 😳
Powderpuff
Ian....stop it....I'm trying not to give in to the dark side that is magnesium....I've flirted with it so far (mag drysump)...but very tempted to go for a set of MB's....thinking sensibly though 9.5's are probably a bit wide. Irrelevant
9.5 is too wide . . . forget about them ;-)
Mickrick
I want to fit 245's. The older I get, the faster I was!
Irrelevant
245 ACB10s go on 8.5" MBs - standard R500 fitting.
Mickrick
I thought the R500 was 205's? The CSR has 9 inch rims and 245's? Correct me if I'm wrong The older I get, the faster I was!
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted November 9, 2007 Leadership Team Share Posted November 9, 2007 R500 standard fitment is 205 CR500s (8½" MB rim) SLR standard fitment is 245 ACB-10s (8½" SLR rim) Stu. www.superse7ens.co.uk..........the rebuild 😬
Mickrick
So a 245 will fit a 9.5 inch rim. Avon list 8 to 10 inch rim as suitable for a 245/50 X 13 CR500. Just depends if the offset is correct. MING
right then boys from the top then yes they are mine a thousand apologies 😳 to mr BARNBY for the misspelling of his name I fully simperthise as my surnames is constantly misspelt no they havent come off some sort of trick hillclimb special the only thing trick is the driver (and my mom was always telling me i was special 😬) they are off my standard everyday factory (blackbirdmotorsport) built run-of-the-mill caterham blackbird i have amended/corrected the advert and added some more piccys it would appear that I measure them incorrectly ie full whith of the rim rather than from and to where the bead sits sorry for being a numpty 😬 so many supercars so little time!!!!!!
