Tight fart Posted May 7, 2002 Share Posted May 7, 2002 Had problems today at cadwell with the fuel pump, on reading Stephen Days article in this months Low Flying, it seems he's been through the same problems i am having now. He has cured his problem with a swirl pot, so my question is where can I get one, and where can I fit it? I got one made by Alex at A&H in the same size as the one in the Demon catalogue but with screw on fittings (I'm a tart) and side mounting flanges rather than a base mount. Mines fitted on the bulkhead behind the drivers seat above the off side de dion driveshaft. Works a treat. We sprint with 1/2 an inch of fuel in the main tank and rely on fuel in the surge pot to keep the engine running. Serious weight saving and absolutely no fuel surge concerns at all.
