DMT Posted October 14, 2007 Share Posted October 14, 2007 Yes next Saturday our first ever season of motorsport comes to end (well kind of) at Brands hatch indy. I am lying 3rd in Group 1 of the Championship and hope to retain it or even clinch second by beating Tommy Keet by 9 places - I guess I'll need him to spin or something as he is rather quick setting the fastest race lap at Cadwell by just under a second <img class='"smiley"' alt='"eek' src='"images/smilies/eek.gif"' smiley"="" data-cke-saved-src=""> Jonnie Wlaker has it all wrapped up providing he finishes in the top 13 and even thenTommy has to win it. My biggest competitor is Chris Wahln - only 4 points behind I need to finish close to him to retain my podium place - if I fail to finish and the usual top ten finish there about I could easily be shunted doen to 6th or 7th. So anyway I spent today polishing and preping my car for Weds test day and the race. I have totally enjoyed my 1st year of owning a 7. It never even crossed my mind until I wanted to race and the Academy looked the best option to start. Blatchat is great a forum - even if my thoughts and comments aren't always appriciated - I feel almost part of a comunity. I like the fact 7's wave to each other on the road and chat when stopped in the place. I've found new and great places to mountain bike thanks to count, dicky and peter. But most of all I have made some great freinds. I hope to do roadsports b next year but fear it maybe beyond me financially - we'll see how brands goes...... DMT Posted October 19, 2007 Author Share Posted October 19, 2007 I'll be the only one to post on my post then.... ☹️ But who cares I qualified 2nd !! 😬 😬 Chris my main rival is in 5th qualied 0.096 behind me and Tommy who i could take second off - with some serious luck - is back in 6th.
