Be careful when tightening the discs to hubs.

The torque settings for alloy hubs may be different to the torque settings for the iron hubs.

I recently fitted alloy hubs to my car and I tried to fit them with new bolts out of some cast iron hubs but the thread engagement was too short for 25ftlbs.

I bought some bolts that were the full length of thethread in the alloy hub but only tightened them to 20lbsft and they have bben fine.

The wheel studs don't go through the disc there are only 4 bolts.

Outboard disc? Maybe the big brake set up is different but my car doesn't have an outboard disc clamped by the wheel.

The disc is mounted onto the inner face of the hub by four bolts.
