Ozzy
Not interested in buying I'm afraid, so apologies for hijack. Just curious about the engine though, as I've never seen a Toyota engine in a 7. Which mainstream car would the engine have been in? What's the power and weight of it? Might be of interest to prospective purchaser anyway. Just curious. Oz. Still Shaking 6 speed 1600 Supersport with xtra DNA from DVA
Lakey
The engine was from a Celica 190. The 2ZZ-GE is also found in the Elise and Exige. The Racetech ECU has allowed me to slightly lower the transition to the high lift cam from 6,200rpm to 5,600rpm, which is better for the Caterham 6 speed gearbox. Goes well and sounds quite nice too. Little Bill
You said you would let me know first!! Not that I can afford it! I take it the reason for the sale is that Ron wants a contribution from everyone to cover the fine!!
Dicky
Lakey, NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo Sorry to hear you have to sell up. For those of you who do not know this car, it is stunning, been beautifully cared for, and very rare. And being a Jap engine, it will not go bang.....
