Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted September 26, 2007 Leadership Team Share Posted September 26, 2007 Anyone have any spares lying around - I've enough in my bits-box to cover 4 valves, so obviously need another dozen! Just trying to progress my winter project 😬 I could also do with a set of exhaust manifold studs for the same Stu. www.superse7ens.co.uk..........the rebuild 😬
Sheds Moderator
I have collets, I think. I have just posted your last parcel too. ☹️ BTW the cheque landed today, thanks. I too have problems with briefcases swallowing things!
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted September 26, 2007 Author Leadership Team Share Posted September 26, 2007 It's time I bought a new one anyway so opportunity for a sort out! Let me know about the collets? I actually need a couple of dozen - my maths is not good sometimes! Kevsta
Exhaust studs...I buy stainless studs from local place (no rust that way) and if you get good ones you can get allen key eyes in the end for fitting them too . Alternative is to buy a bolt and machine the end off (or cut it and file it)...do it with a nut on so when you clean it up you can undo the nut to clean the thread. Sheds Moderator
Buggr, sorry Stu, when I looked I had 16 valves, 11 valve springs and a similar number of retainers but no collets. The magic teachest has betrayed me! No, I don't know where the springs and retainers went. Out through the hole in the bag, I imagine. 😔
Roger Ford
How about a complete cylinder head?
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted September 28, 2007 Author Leadership Team Share Posted September 28, 2007 Roger - that works out at £5 per collet It's a vhpd head I'm working on unfortunately (or fortunately, depends upon your point of view 😬). Maybe time to give Oily a call! Stu. www.superse7ens.co.uk..........the rebuild 😬
