Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 16, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted September 16, 2007 David At the 50th party, I found that there is a Lotus (repeat LOTUS) precedent for the 21. This is a unique vehicle - and i told John Watson that i thought it was the earliest prototype. Ask Paul if he has pictures to show us all - because I neglected to get any 😳.  GJT Crossflow 524 returning from Arch - corrected
henry21p
coo. bet it's not as shiny as my 21 though. Is the handling sorted on yours yet?
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 16, 2007 Author Area Representative Share Posted September 16, 2007 Oh no it's not. Unpolished aluminium from 1953! It is an all-enveloping Williams and Pritchard body for a Lotus VI and really does have some uncanny similarities - front hinged bonnet, doors, MG engine [edit to add: and box sections at the door sils with an exhaust going through...] - and it was fascinating to see. It had a big history file and is only on it's second owner. I'm sure JWW knows lots about it - I will quiz him about it when I next see him at the Ace Cafe. Handling-wise things are much better, without any tweeking yet - just bolted together at the moment. Needs a good wash and polish too! GJT Crossflow 524 returning from Arch - corrected Edited by - Golf Juliet Tango on 17 Sep 2007 11:20:
