grasshopper
Not sure if it helps but I have a Superlight with a K series 1.6ss with a standard exhaust and it measured at a mere 94Db at 4500 RMP yesterday. Grubbster
I wouldn't expect it to be much different to the 1.6 Acadamy cars and they run around Goodwood with no problems My 1.8 only started having noise problems when I changed teh exhaust. jd2
Hi, my 1.8 with a standard system measured 98db @4500 rpm at Bedford recently (static test) cheers, John
old captain slow
With the standard Caterham exhaust they all seem to come in at between 93 and 98dB when we test them at Castle Combe. Winky's 1.6K SS producing 150HP is on the original exhaust that was fitted to the car in 1996 and it made 93dB last time at Combe and the noise tester laughted at him. 😬 C7 CDW
Martin Erhard
I have a 1.8 SS with 4 into 1 manifold and a newish non-cat 6" standard silencer. Measured 93db @ 4500rpm at Dunsfold last Saturday.
