Kevsta
Hi, my VVC engine (EU2) has started to idle higher than normal (it is stock ECU) when warm. It idles at about 1,100-1,200 rpm and I'm wondering if it is due to the temp sender to the ECU being up the chuff! Any thoughts or ideas? I haven't reset the idle yet and whilst typing this have just thought of that. Any other ideas?

caterhamnut
Air leak somewhere in the system? Something getting hot, expanding and letting air in? Just a guess, but BTT www.mycaterham.com here Videos here 101,000 miles car
Mick Day
IACV sticking?
Kevsta
That does help about the air as it's dry sumped so I will check the blank offs I put on. The thing is it seems to idle and do everything else well, it's just a bit high. Will reset IACV and see what happens. Cheers...at least I'm not going mad and there isn't anything else! caterhamnut
As Mick says - maybe carefully take it out and clean it - avoiding the comedy 'spring flies off and fires across garage/gravel drive' moment.... Could be hundreds of other things aswell though - still, its a start! www.mycaterham.com here Videos here 101,000 miles car
