Aeroscreen Mirrors

Slightly different tack to the sidescreen mirror topic, my interest is in mirror options when you have a JPE screen installed.

 

My particular interest is in trying to find an option that prevents me from having to drill yet more holes in the scuttle allowing me the option of going back to the main screen for the winter.

 

One idea I had was to fabricate some long stalks that attached to one of the windscreen mounting holes, rising above the height or the rear arch and then fixing some small spa/racetech style mirrors to these.

 

As for a rear-view mirror, I'd similarly like to go for a sportscar style mirror but again with the option of (partial) removal if I refit the windscreen.

 

Any thoughts/comments/similar experiences would be welcomed.

On the R500, the side mirrors are attached directly to the aeroscreen and are very solid - a lot better than the centre rear vier mirror which seems to just give you a blur of colour which I try to take no notice of, unless it is white with a blue flash every once in a while ;-)
