Rear 'over-the-top' anti roll bar.

I have noticed that mine has marked the internal bodywork sections towards the rear of the (exposed damper) cut out area. It has been caused by the nut holding the ball link tie bar to the ARB.

I have heard that they can do this is fitted on the furthest out setting (hole 4) but hole 3 is normally OK.

Well, mine is in hole 3 already so I have three choices.

a) Use a half nut and grind/cut off the excess thread.Ummmn Not convinced.

b) Move the ball to hole 2. ?

c) 'Adjust' (pull!) the ARB arm out so that the linkage is operating more vertically and the nut clears.Favoured idea at present!

Advice as to which option seems best and what results can be expected by moving the link to hole 2 appreciated!

There's no pull on this ball so a) will be OK.

The roll bar is set on setting 3 for a reason, moving it to 2 to solve a clearance problem isn't too clever.

The roll bar should be centrally located so this is the right thing to do, you really want some kind of spacer to hold the bar in this position, perhaps a washer over the roll bar to stop it moving back, you'd need to split it, fit it, bend it back round.
