Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted August 27, 2007 Leadership Team Share Posted August 27, 2007 Does anyone know the difference in width between standard Caterham wide-track and narrow track please? Thanks - Michael.
Casbar
Think, it makes the track the same as the rear. I have narrow, so can't be sure
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted August 27, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted August 27, 2007 Hi Michael, Casbar is correct in that it brings the front wheels out for the front track to be the same width as the rear set which is around 2" each side from memory. BTW excellent result for both you and Tam yesterday Cheers Nick The BEC has gone - now onto an R400!!
Area Representative Richard Price Posted August 27, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted August 27, 2007 Michael, I think it's 63 or 66mm. Are you thinking of going wide track? I'm not sure you'll see a measurable difference in performance. Neither myself or Dan Malkin run wide track, and it does not seem to slow Dan down much 😬
Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted August 27, 2007 Author Leadership Team Share Posted August 27, 2007 Thanks for the feedback. Am just considering plans for the winter. New springs & dampers are a definite and that would be the time to consider whatever else could be done at the same time. We'll see.... Michael.
