Narrow track vs wide track

Does anyone know the difference in width between standard Caterham wide-track and narrow track please?

Think, it makes the track the same as the rear. I have narrow, so can't be sure

Hi Michael,

 

Casbar is correct in that it brings the front wheels out for the front track to be the same width as the rear set which is around 2" each side from memory.

I think it's 63 or 66mm.

 

Are you thinking of going wide track? I'm not sure you'll see a measurable difference in performance.

Neither myself or Dan Malkin run wide track, and it does not seem to slow Dan down much 😬

Am just considering plans for the winter. New springs & dampers are a definite and that would be the time to consider whatever else could be done at the same time.
