I have just checked my new ones and they are rubbing! I have added an extra washer to the de dion tube. The sleeve now clears the tube. Is this an accepted practice?

Are you talking about the adjustable Bilsteins? Ive just had Caterham send me the platforms to fit to my standard shockers and need to check prior to putting them back on. (1.6K series, de dion, built 2000).

Cheers

I had the standard Bilsteins. The sleeve was just catching on a bit of welding on the tube. This could be ground off, but I found adding a extra washer easier as i do not have a grinder. It is worth checking before you torque the bolts up.
