Charlie XGO
I am Struggling removing a faulty RH Upright from the Lower Wishbone Ball joint. I have removed all else and can not pull it free (it is new and was copper slipped). I have now put a jack under and jacked up the pressure on the end of the threaded section to push up on the upright , which pushes the wishbone and the damper spring upwards, and then banged down on the lower wishbone to attampt to push the ball joint down on the Upright lower shaft. Before I cause any damage, does anyone have a suggestion as how to proceed and free the upright? Thanks.

Dickie Normuss
I undid the Nyloc on mine, a couple of taps and it came off VX HPC - Loud and proud here Watch out, whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly
Billyboy
If you jack up on the threaded section you may bend it or distort it and then you will have little chance of removal ❗ ❗ Jack up car and use an Axle stand on the chassis NOT the suspension.....So the suspension is free to relax Then jack up the lower suspension arm/wishbone So any strain on the joint at the end is relieved....the upright / disc / caliper should just slide out use a nylon hammer on the nut still on threaded section. Mine came out fine after 3 years......

Best regards, "in the very early stages of the biuid...not completely frustrated, yet!"...
