Standard Roll Bar (ie NOT FIA) and Boot Cover

As the title says, probably not going to be much demand for these, but I need the garage space, so make me an offer. I'm in Manchester, idealy buyer will collect (I think the roll bar would be a pain in the arse to post).

Both in good condition.

Cheers

Not Interested in the bar, as also have one to 'give away'

Also in Manchester, Cheadle Dark Purple/ Silver Stripe 1.6 SS

Are you the one in the Black/Ali 7

Just thought I'd say hello, no doubt see you around.

There's Ric in Chorlton

and met Phil in Cheadle Hulme, yesterday.

Did you fit an FIA? was it easy? any tips?

I was in My X red/chrome MGB roadster coming out of work place

Northenden Health Centre, Palatine rd, South M/c

I gave you a knowing nod, as I was 3 days short of my first 7 arriving. Where in Manchester are you?

Back to the issue?

Is it just a case of

Undo obvious bolt, wheels off

Something about shocks ??

Glue new one on ,etc.........

What correct bolts, It's in the post now (the Bar)

do I need to ring them up again?

Want it on ASAP

Not that I'm impatient with my new toy or anything!

I remember seeing you, I think you had your son in the car (or at least some young person),my dad has an MGB so I always keep an eye out for them. I was on my way out to a trackday near york.

I live on Palatine Rd, a bit further up in Didsbury.

Undo the four bolts holding the standard bar on (two at the front of the boot, two where the diagonal bars fix to the rear of the boot), and lift out the old bar, mine needed a bit of brute force to get the old one out.

Then remove the boot cover , rear wheels, and remove the rear shocks, the new bar has bolts in the same places as the standard bar, plus you need to bolt it from underneath just above where the shocks mount, it'll become clear when the bar arrives and you pull the old one off.

If you've ordered the bar from caterham they should have supplied all the bolts you need, I bought mine secondhand, and I was missing the two bolts that go in underneath, they need to be machined so that the head doesent protrude too far, but caterham should have supplied you with this all done.
