Alex Wong1697456877
I could be talking b*****ks here but my understanding is.... The top position allows more rear wheel steer and means the inside wheel goes backwards as it goes up (when hitting a bump or leaning over in a fast corner). This makes the ride better as the energy isn't all transmitted directly upwards when you hit a bump. With the lower setting, there is less rear wheel steer at the expense of comfort. In theory this should be a good thing, but my car seems to understeer a little more easily on the lower setting. The differences are not huge and might well be all in my mind. I'd go for the top comfort setting to start with. It's definitely less harsh over bumps and it is debatable as to whether it's detrimental to the handling. Fred
i asked this point a few months ago and agree with alex. the responses vary i have left it in the top position and find that best for me. caterham also say it is best in that point. but there is members that have it in the lower point do a search it was about two months ago fredid=blue> eek.gif

Peter Carmichael
The Watts linkage front mount is designed only to go in the upper position. I have been a strong advocate for the lower position for radius arms. If you use the upper position and have a car that is relatively soft in roll it can (by reputation) get a bit irretrievable mid corner.
stevefoster
Never tried the upper position. I had two live axle cars before this one so I think it is comfy as it is.... Go for the lower one for track use for sure was what I was told.
