viperbl
I am sure this is gonna be an easy one, I am just putting my engine back in and not 100% sure where this pipe should go (each end circled in red) I am sure it goes to a little threaded nipple on the gearbox (about half way along on the offside) Is this right? in some way I hope its not, since I am not sure how I am gonna get this on without taking it out again ! NOOOOOOOO!! PS. Its a 1.8 K Series. Thanks :) Picture of the pipe Edited by - viperbl on 7 Aug 2007 19:15:
davef
Assuming a standard plenum chambered K, that looks like the feed to the MAP sensor in the ECU - goes via a fuel vapour trap on the bulk head above the ECU. Dave
shn7
Not gearbox related. Without checking my cat I think that goes to the fuel trap usually mounted on the engine side of the scuttle with another piece which goes to the MEMS #ECU. Steve. viperbl
Guys, any idea on this wire?? I am thinking ground that screws to the bulkhead maybe?? picture here
Mick Day
It's black & has a ring terminal at the end. Assuming it's original, or the person who added it understands the correct colour code, then it is indeed an earth wire.
davef
The ring terminal suggests it was connected to the battery -ve terminal.... Dave
