sgroves Posted April 24, 2002 Share Posted April 24, 2002 I am very close to buying a Superlight, I had always planned to get the 1.6, until they moved the goal posts this month. I now have the option of ordering a 1.6 this week !! at the old price, or wait and save some more (about £2.5K)and go for the new 1.8. Without a fair bit of tweeking, there isn't much between say a 1600SS and a 1800SS. The difference seems to be in the tuning potential. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hugh Posted April 25, 2002 Share Posted April 25, 2002 go for the 1600 a bog standard superlight is reasonably compeditive against the tweaked crossflows but a 1.8 will be blown away by most vx engined cars as a lot tend to be ex race cars and they have more cc,s to play with.
