Ray Stewart
Well the Front Bilsteins have finally given up the ghost. Now what do I replace them with, more Bilsteins, SPAX, AVO's? I'd be grateful for any help particularly with spring rates etc. The car is a '96 De Dion with a 1600 X Flow. Many thanks in anticipation. Leadership Team Midas Posted July 31, 2007 Leadership Team Share Posted July 31, 2007 fwiw, I had a similar dilemma. Ended up fitting a freestyle handling kit - road, which is one of my best upgrades. car is now more pliant on the road, but handling just as sharp - so a vote for Freestyle. Gavin
Ray, The Freestyle/Avo handling package is very good. I had it fitted to a similar car to yours. Freestyle will advise you on spring rates and set up the ride height/cornerweights once fitted. Ray Stewart
Hi All Many thanks for your replies and the vote looks good for Freestyle. Can I just ask if when talking about the Freestyle/AVO set up do you mean just the AVO spring & damper replacements or the full "on board" system, i.e. no visible springs/dampers? Many thanks again Ray
rgrigsby
You can get either, most people go for just the Freestyle spring/Avo damper combination. The onboard set-up is lovely but it's not cheap. Rob G www.SpeedySeven.com
Ray Stewart
Thanks Rob That was what I was hoping to hear, as I know the onbourd set-up is not cheap. Ray
