SLR hooped cage.

I think the point to bear in mind is that you can no longer buy the safety devices cages and these are the only hooped cage that will fit both the early and late chassis without removing the side skins to have the front four threaded bushes welded into the top chassis rail. This makes them desirable as it is much easier to remove the

cage and revert to a standard roll bar without re-skinning the car. I think you will find that £500+ is the going rate.

Side skins do not need removing . . . just inner panels and scuttle. They then sink bushes in from the inside. If you have it done with no sideskins on, they do a better job though.

Agree that getting bosses fitted is still hastle - which is what makes Safety Devices SLR cages more valuable than Caged ones, i.e. bigger market, cheaper to fit.
