OAP
........well then you ought to keep it and start using it again, you know it makes sense. However, if you do sell it, someone is going to get a bargain at this price, after all you have lavished on it.

Steve Cragg
Let me think........How much extra would I need to raise if I sold my 1.6 Superlight, the VVC engine I was intending to modify, throttle bodies, Emerald, cams, dry sump kit..... Nifty
Steve, Believe me, had I not converted my 1400 SS to R400 I'd be onto this car at this price. I don't think you'd do the conversion and end up with a car as good for that sort of money. The incidentals that you don't budget for cost £1,000s when you add it up. I've probably spent £6,000 on my conversion all up .. there will of course be some money to come back from selling on surplus parts but I don't expect to do better than £5,000 cost of conversion. And that was buying the complete R400 engine with DS system, exhaust, loom etc for £3,500 - you will be very, very lucky indeed to be able to buy the bits seperately for that sort of money. Keep off the straight and narrow 😬
Steve Cragg
Nifty, I know....trouble is I would need to find a buyer for my car before I could do anything so not an option. One benefit of upgrading mine though is that it is a 98 car just before SVA so no CAT or MOT issues. Steve Superlight #
