Morls
I'm still looking for a bracketed, ready to fit, ital axle. To replace my Standard , unit. The diff ratio is unimportant. Good price paid. I'm hoping to get the 7 back on the road for June, (so fit those stronger / better Ford axles now wink.gif ). Mark
Coose
Why Ital? I know they're cheaper but surely not as good or as readily available as the trusty old Ford? You might get an LSD too (or just some good ord mushrooms?). Am I missing summat??? confused.gif
Morls
"Am I missing summat" Aye. My 5 lovely steel wheels, and front hubs, are of Triumph PCD. This is the same as Marvellous Marinas but not Fords. The Ford axles can also handle too much power, they have too much diff choice and they are too cheap.smile.gif Doh! Morls
And.... I've got the perfect diff, for an ital axle. At 3.27:1, mines longer than yours, but not slippysmile.gif What's this R1 rumour then, did you need the stacked gearbox to fit between your narrow trackwink.gif Mind the clutch cover on your shockers. Coose
Mine's not slippy or long sad.gif C'est la vie..... But, Bart will still be more aerodynamic, and I can always grind the end off the clutch cover! wink.gif Edited by - Coose on 25 Apr 2002 21:11:
brunec01
If you have your old Axle (well really I'm just after halfshafts and, hub & flanges) to sell please let me know. Regards Chris
