Silver 21 Posted April 20, 2002 Share Posted April 20, 2002 Hi Supposed to be competing at Curborough tomorrow but my Rocker Cover Gasket has just given up and I'm losing oil down the side of the engine!!!. This is a recuring problem since fitting my new engine Rocker cover is only about 5mm thick and seams to slice cork gaskets in half, my question is: Will Gasket sealer/Hermetite/Instant Gasket hold on a rocker cover with 4 bar of oil pressure? Fred Posted April 20, 2002 Share Posted April 20, 2002 you dont have 4 bar pressure in the rocker you dont want to tighten the bolts to much on a cork gaskets that is why it keeps spliting you might be able to take of cover clean go round the hole edge with instant gasket let cure over night and try in morning fredid=blue> smile.gif Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
