New Barbie
You need to be specific, you need a VVC or VHPD head, the K16 is the standard head iirc.
robmar
yeah but you can still port the standard k16 head and put bigger valves in and get more power 180+ (from a 1.6) obviously the VHPD or VVC has the opportunity to get more, but you are right abotu being specific about what you want to achieve smile.gif I think rob
New Barbie
Rob/Harry The K16 can have some work done but if you are going to the trouble of bolting on a new head, no question I'd go VVC-modified. I've decided to do that albeit with a new engine to play with rather than putting a new head on my current. I think you should only look to pay around £400 for a VVC head. Brand new VHPD is hard to get hold of but I know a source of them for c£800. A good scrap yard will get you a K16 straight away and for not a lot of outlay. CHRIS CLARK
My brand new, unrun, VVC head was 275 UKP. Try an email to 'Oilyhands'(address on various threads) as he seems to get a few!
