Links ?

I've done a few links to pictures that seem to work one minute and not the next, if I click the link in Blatchat I get "The website declined to show this webpage" if I then refresh that page the picture comes up. Is this just a Blatchat bug or have I started doing links wrong?

Well I haven't done any work on the links since adding the extra buttons to help insert them.

It's quite possible the the target site won't display the picture unless you are coming from a page within their site, often this is done to prevent their bandwidth usage going sky high caused by people 'deep-linking' in an tag.

Do you have any examples?

The "Publish to Site/Blog" button? just links to a thumbnail, some of the other options don't seem to work at all.

This is what you are supposed to copy and paste for a blog or website

and this for a forum

That for some reason changes to

http://www.blatchat.com/ http://pets.webshots.com/photo/2176253160053588737VaSlGp

when copy and pasted.

If that makes sense, not to worry.

Thanks for this Richard,

Using webshots suggestion for a blog/website, I think that you should use the link button on our posting page and put this bit in the first box you are shown: http://pets.webshots.com/photo/2176253160053588737VaSlGp

In the second box, you should put your description of the image eg:

Night night

to end up with: Night night!

The webshots suggestion for a forum will only work where images are allowed to be posted on the forum.
