Headlights....they no work.

Checked the fuses, wiggled the relays, swapped the connections on the back of the man/dip switch, checked both bulbs on the off chance it was a freak of nature....but no, still no dipped beam.

Sidelights yes, main beam yes, dipped....nuffink. ☹️

There is no multi-connector under the nose cone.

And which relay?

There's a block of three relays, and the indicator flasher unit. Two of the relays are identical, swapped them, symtom still evident. The other relay can be heard switching.

Not had the bloody thing a month. *mad*

Well there's confusing for you.....

It was the fuse but it had blown it such a way that it only became apparent when I resorted to physically removing each one.

And the main headlight fuse came out and left one of it's legs behind!

The headlight fuse had gone with such a pop it actually ruptured across one of the legs and not the usual frangible bit, so visusally checking the fuse in it's holder all appeared intact. 😳

With the assistance of a BC Techtalk search ( *thumbup*) I tracked the short to a semi-melted headlight bulb connector.

(I will try to remain calmer in future. *redface*)
