hoopies car Posted April 17, 2002 Share Posted April 17, 2002 As a new owner - soon to be - I was wondering how much the funny old fashioned wings weighed in relation to the more up to date and modern cycle wings?, I am 87 years old and can remeber little other than hose lovely old cars with running boards and the flared wings, oh how I long for those days.... wag Posted April 17, 2002 Share Posted April 17, 2002 My dad, who would be nearly 100 if he was still alive, used to sit me on his knee and tell me about old cars. There were the carbide lamps and what to do when you ran out of water. Drip feed oilers that would foul the plug (that was a motor bike), dodges to see through windscreens with no wipers.
