millsn
1.6 Focus, misfires on large throttle openings at low revs (1-2000rpm and high 5-6000, no misfire in the mid range. Plugs are new. I assume its probably coil or leads - how do I check which? Any test I can do on the coil?
Stationary M25 Traveller
Did you check the plug caps were screwed on tight. Not always like that when taken out of the box. Did you check the gap ? Ford HT leads are sometimes a bit fragile when disturbed - probably best bet ? The carbon-cored ones especially fragile I believe ? ****************** And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking... And racing around to come up behind you again. photos
millsn
Lead on my zetec have been fine. Gapped and tightened. I replaced the plugs for the same reason, may well be the leads, but I'm skint so I need a test if one exists. Anyone?
