Gridgway
I have replaced the three main hoses (top, bottom and "J"). Are the others available for a k series car with heater? And where? Graham
MAK
Graham. If you ask CC you can get a more complete set for your car but it will still be missing the hoses to and from the heater. I had the same problem which was resolved by a visit to Demon tweeks to buy Samco Silicone hoses. I bought 2 m of 16mm SAMCO blue silicone hose, a number of 90deg elbows, straight unions and clips. After fitting this I think 1m would be sufficient. See url=http://community.webshots.com/user/Malcolm333]here[/url

LazerBrain
Graham - I've just ordered a complete set of hoses from CC. There's 3 hoses in the silicon set plus 2 additional silicon hoses. I've ordered rubber for the rest. Just waiting for them to turn up now... cheers, Darren.

Stationary M25 Traveller
On the subject of hoses - I find that I can tighten the hose clips every time I look under the bonnet - do the hoses really expand and loosen the clips every trip ?? ****************** And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking... chrisddl
What's the advantage of using silicone hoses against the standard rubber ones ? ChrisL
KevSull Too
Brian, I'm sure you could space out those hoses to spell a rude word if you tried hard enough... 😬 😬You laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same. 😬
John Howe
What's the advantage of using silicone hoses against the standard rubber ones ? Helps you get rid of your spare change... Seriously, if you are fitting silicone hoses for the first time. I suggest you tighten the clips with a small socket, rather than a screwdriver. They require a fair bit more grunt, than rubber hoses, to tighten. JH Deliveries by Saffron, the yellow 230bhp Sausage delivery machine
LazerBrain
You have a dirty mind Kev - I hadn't even thought of that! (However I'm tempted to take another photo before they get installed!) cheers, Darren.
Gridgway
Chris, the advantage is that silicone hoses stay very pliable and seem to last a huge amount of time. Rubber ones seem to "set". Silicone -easy to get on and off, rubber- orrible. Graham
Tom_C
*arrowup*Should also be less prone to perishing, which my first set of rubber ones had done after 2 years and 16k miles. That said, I replaced in rubber, as I'm a bit short of spare change... BTW please give generously to Bundle's Big Charity Walk for Asthma research here Ta.
