toe adjustment: 1 turn of track rod end = ??

i know this must be in the archives but just can't find any references at the moment!

 

car is live axle 1998

 

if i turn 1 complete thread at the track rod end how much will that (approx) adjust the toe for that wheel?

Adam: I reckon the answer is 44 minutes.

Are you sitting comfortably? I've measured the thread on the track rod end on my Supers car (I think they are the same on LA cars), it is 1/2" 20 TPI (threads per inch), hence 1 turn is 1.27mm. The track rod end acts at approx. 100mm from the hub centre, hence the angle is tan(-1) of 0.0127 which equals 0.7276 degrees or 43.66 minutes.
