DaveMorris
EDITED - 5th July As a result of this falling from view, and then not selling, price now reduced to £5500 (and the vinyl flowers will be removed this weekend 😬) I purchased this car ~15 months ago to keep me on the road after writing off my previous car and before I missed any decent blatting weather. I bought the car engineless, and for now that is how I am planning to sell it. With the number of people converting to Zetecs etc there appear to be plenty of decent 135bhp x-flows around. Alternatively, this would make an ideal purchase if you’re looking to have a Zetec engined car and don’t want the hassle of taking the original engine out 😬 or even as the start of a BEC conversion. Car is as follows : Q Plate Long cockpit 1988 De-dion Supersprint, Standard 5 Speed g’box Caterham Red with Yellow front wings Car originally Clamshell wings and converted (unsympathetically ) by a previous owner to cycles. Bodywork fair but definitely not pristine. Bilstein Dampers with adjustable platforms. Front wishbones upgraded to be double top wishbone and spherical bearings on lower wishbone as later fitment to De Dion cars (I believe this is the Scholarship conversion and the dampers/springs are the Vauxhall racing setup – though I stand to be corrected.) FIA roll bar. 4pt Caterham Harnesses. Tillet seats Electric fuel pump + pressure regulator Powerstop grooved/dimpled front discs Momo Steering wheel with quick release column Good condition black & polished alloy 13" Minators with AO21r's Spare wheel carrier removed. '7' Grill in matching colours. Hi viz doors + tonneau Red starter button (+ a matching one for the horn) Passenger footwell is “half shortened” – shortened by ~4” to allow installation of dry-sump system tank. Still allows long legged passengers to be carried in comfort. Reminder -currently the car has NO ENGINE. 10 months MOT and taxed until Sept. Priced at £6000 FOR THE PURCHASER OF THE CAR ONLY – i.e. Not for general sale, I have available the following to suit a x-flow installation : 5sp to x-flow bellhousing, clutch release arm etc, x-flow starter motor + alternator (+ belt) Twin 40’s on Caterham x-flow inlet manifold, Caterham comp 4-1 x-flow exhaust and 5” silencer, Engine mounts (standard) Water hoses (in black) The above would be available as a “job lot” at a very reasonable price If interested or want more info then blatmail me or call on 07717 405496 I have a trailer so delivery could be arranged. Alternatively bring a x-flow. We can fit it and you can drive home 😬 Dave Piccies - see here X-flow(er) power now resting. Trying Vx for a change.
