Car Numbers For Sprint

What is the best way of numbering your car for Sprints without damaging you paint work when you remove it at the end of the day?

 

Whats the best product? How much? And where do I get it from?

Hi Snapper,

 

Get your numbers from DT. apply polise to the area where the numbers are going and let it dry into a haze. Then put your numbers on and clean all the excess polish off.

Before applying the white square (or circular) background sheet, wash the area in question with a fairly strong mix of carwash and water. Apply the white sheet onto the body before the area dries.

 

It will later peel off without leaving any marks on the paint. It is also easier to position the sheet on the bodywork as it moves around easily on the wet surface.

DT sell individual numbers or a pack of numbers - get them in black for your car.

Another way I have used before was to photocopy the numbers onto a white sheet of paper or card and then tape that with masking tape to bodywork. Fine unless it rains and you don't use up all of your numbers too quickly, and you get the white background as well!
