tax disc mounting

I`m going to be changing between full and aeroscreen so need an alternative for the tax disc. Don`t want to drill the bodywork and quite fancy a nice bit of carbon!! Any ideas??

I bought a carbon tax disc holder from a local bike shop - mounted in one of the bolts that hold the screen in place.

Mine is on the front nearside bonnet catch (the spring one). It is one of thesehere

 

I had to bend the back plate slightly in the vice to angle it away from the side skin but it is neat and does the job. Yes there is carbon version but you will struggle to bend that one 😬

Mine is attached to the rear bolt for the exhaust, no heat damage and out of sight and hopefully out of mind for someone to steel. (Unless they have the allen key to take out the tax disk)

Rear exhaust mounting for me too. Disc inserted upside down so it's easier to read without bending down IYSWIM.

I have two holders both with a bolt hole back plate

1 carries MOT Disc

2 carries Tax Disc

They are bolted bach to back either side of the Petty strut hole on the FIA Bar which is at reasonable height and if parked in correct direction, is on the Wardens side of the car.

Works for me 😬
