13" wheels

O.K. I'm sure this has been done to death but please bear with me. I have 13" wheels on my live axle seven. Forgetting about tyres for the minute, if I'm looking for optimum ROAD handling should I stick with 13" or consider larger diameter wheels? I have heard that larger diameter wheels with lower profile tyres doesn't do the ride any favours. At the moment I'm running 185/70 R13 tyres on weller wheels. I'm thinking of buying a new set of alloys (minilite reps) for aesthetic reasons and just want to be sure of the best size. If I stick with 13" I'll probably just swap the tyres over rather than getting nre rubber as I'm skint at the moment

My understanding is that 13" is the way to go (I have them on mine) - also, unless you know a cheap place to transfer the tyres, you may as well take them to George Polley who will supply A021R's in 185/70R13 for 40ukp per corner fitted and balanced. Terefore not a great margin over going to your local thickfit.
