BAZZA
Can anybody tell me the oil capacity of a 2.0 l duratec with a Raceline wet sump please? Barry R400 Duratec No.
Tony C
Mine took nearly 5 litres up to the max line on the dipstick. BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. Dobuy
Yep 5 litres from dry or approx 4-4.5 on oil change. Make sure you have a bead of silicone around the outside of the dipstick tube, were it joins the sump, otherwise you can discretely loose a lot of oil, if the O-ring fails (as mine did) Duratec SV, built in Dubai
mic
Allow extra for the oil cooler. Mick
Rob Walker
With wet sump from first fill 5L on oil changes thereafter 4.5-5L. As Mic says allow extra for any oil cooler and plumbing
BAZZA
So the 5.5l with oil cooler seems about right, I have the disappearing oil on on dipstick phenomenom that I now know hsa been experienced before Thanks chaps. Jason Plato
if you turn the engine off then check you will "loose" 0.5L up the internal walls of the block . Also check that your dipstick is seated correctly .
