CageyH
Do I need for a Samco hose set? One of my rubber hoses is perishing after two years, so I need to replace it with something that will last a bit longer. Where is a good place to buy the hoses? I want blackones, and have found a set for my K series for £123.68. Is this a good price? Only dead fish go with the flow....! Myles
I got my Mikalors from DT - and despite them selling the hoses as well, I ended up with clamps that were one size too small. I'll look up the size that I ended up with tomorrow if I can get out of bed... 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester Racing 7s Equipe™ 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester-Racing-Sevens.com

Alex Wong1697456877
If you measure them, measure them on the radiator/engine if possible. They can stretch quite alot when on the fittings. I got mine a size wrong.

Myles
I'll try to pop out and check the size of mine later. I think I made the same mistake as Alex - I measured them off the car and went for what sounded like the nearest size. Too small. I also STR that some of the fittings were worse than others (mebbe the submarine needed a larger size - I'll check). 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester Racing 7s Equipe™ 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester-Racing-Sevens.com
acw
Hi I've just replaced my hoses (3) with silicone, I bought my 2 x 40-43 clamps for the water rail and 4 x 44-47 for the remainder. Got the clamps from Stagonset - £14.00 incl delivery Andrew
Myles
Just had a thought - I've checked my toolbox (easier to check than the car) and I've got a number of 40-43mm clamps in there... ...it'll be the next size up that's on the rad then... 😔 too slow 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester Racing 7s Equipe™ 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester-Racing-Sevens.com Edited by - Myles on 12 May 2007 13:07:
CageyH
Thanks All. Are Mikalor clamps the best solution, or some JCS stainless jubilee clips? I have heard various reports of what is best. Only dead fish go with the flow....!
Jon Stewart
I went to Burton Power with the intention of getting Mikalor clips for silicone hoses. They advised using SS jubilees like the JCS unless they were for turbo pipes. No problems after a year and they don't pinch the hoses
CageyH
I ordered the JCS clips, as Mikalor seem a bit hit and miss with ordering the correct sizes. Many people advised to go for the JCS stainless, so that is what I ordered. Only dead fish go with the flow....!
