Mark Piper
....."recalibrate" the rev counter to overread. On my SLR I had a stack tacho with a digital readout. One of the options on this was to do just that - the rev counter therefore overread - eg it'd show 6,000 rpm when the car was actually only running at 5,000 rpm. I haven't read the entire Stack manual that Danny LT mailed me, but at first glance I can't see that the R500 one has this feature. I'd rather like to make use of it, and preferably before next Tuesday. Perhaps it's there, waiting to be revealed by the correct pressing of buttons.... CanAm
No idea about the clever way, but do you programme in the number of cylinders? If so you could show it as 3 instead of 4? That might be a bit too far out though Alan The existence of chance is everything and nothing whilst the greatest achievement is the living of life. dannylt
I think number of cylinders is exactly how you do it... read more of the manual!
Peter T
No. There are certain parameters that Stack did not enable in the Caterham's. This was to keep the cost down. 😔 R500 260 BHP Mango Madness CAR NO-

mic
The Stack dash fitted to the early R500s were not configurable for the number of cylinders . Mick
NigelJ
I am not familiar with the Stack system but with others you can specify the number of pulses per rev and thus alter the rev reading. Useful when hitting the required revs at noise testing! Cheers NigelJ
