Sam Monoogian
Self-explanatory really. I have a X-flow and a 5 speed 'box but not the sandwich plate to fit in between the 'box and bellhousing. Anyone got one they can give away/sell very cheaply?
russb
I am puzzled by your request, my x-flow used to bolt directly onto a type 9 box without any adaptor plate.... Russ
Sam Monoogian
My Type 9 box has the long input shaft. I think these are more common than the short-input shaft.
Chelspeed
More common in Caterhams because the 1st gear ratio is better, well perhaps less worse is a better description, 3.36 rather than 3.65:1. Lots of alloy bellhousings come with the spacer built in, they are 170mm between faces rather than the standard 155mm. If you have one of these there will be no spacer. If you have a standard Ford iron bellhousing and a long input shaft gearbox you will have a spacer between the gearbox and the bellhousing.
