simply cut off the wires and use the knob as a 'standard' knob

 

Makro used to sell these - alongside steering wheels with handfuls of leds round the rim. 😔

Obviously people are - I bought a packet of Mixed Dried Fruit and Nuts today and in smallprint there was a warning at the bottom of the packet... "THIS PRODUCT MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF NUTS".

 

Aaaaaaargh!
