jono Posted May 3, 2007 Share Posted May 3, 2007 I am about to put in my new 1.8 engine built by Oily as an upgrade to my 1.4 ss. I obtained some good used 1.8 injectors, fuel rail and pressure regulator from a fellow blatchatter however I have only just opened the box up and see the injectors are blue in colour rather than straw. Can the 1.8 injectors be both straw and blue? - and is there any other way of identifying them other than colour or do they simply have to be straw, period, to make this converison work? I was told they came off a 1.8 caterham so one would assume they will work okay?? They are to go into the early ss induction system with forward facing air intake. Rob Walker Posted May 3, 2007 Share Posted May 3, 2007 If they have the number 0280 150 703 they are from the 1.4 you may be able to use them if you have a reprogrammable ECU as they flow 170cc/m@3bar the 1.8 injectors have the number 0280 150 749.
