hucks1976
Wanted zf lsd for dedion car. Would consider any lsd though. Thanks
Irrelevant
What's your budget? Assume you want a complete diff/cwp/case rather than just the LSD unit (as you need to get the case machined with a ZF LSD). If assumption is correct, what ratio you after?
hucks1976
really am a complete novice when it comes to diffs, if you know anyone that supplies them I would be grateful so as I could discuss the options. many thanks, Paul
Support Team Shaun_E Posted May 3, 2007 Support Team Share Posted May 3, 2007 Have a chat with Phil at Road and Race Transmissions tel: 01959 525105. Unless you are racing, another type of diff might be more suitable such as Quaife ATB or you might find a second hand AP diff. I also understand that TranX also make a plate type diff similar to the ZF. Yellow SL #
Irrelevant
Proper clutch/plate type LSDs (as opposed to torque biasing diffs, e.g. Quaife unit) suitable for a Caterham (i.e. with correct adjustments) are made by ZF,Suretrac, and TransX IIRC. But there will be other manufacturers who can set their LSDs up to suit a Caterham. I'd go for the ZF as it's regarded as the best, although they are all much of a muchness IMO. Joachim Westermann
I have a ZF with 45° ramps (25%) as new for £ 475,- and can fit new 30° ramps for £ 200 extra cost. Regards Joachim westermann-motorsport.com
hucks1976
Hi, can you explain what the ramps are for ? Is it specific to the car its fitted to? If so mine is a 190vhpd dedion, which is best for that? Regards, Paul
