Old Septimus Posted April 10, 2002 Share Posted April 10, 2002 According to today's Financial Times Caterham has signed an exclusive deal to buy all its engines from Xpower, a division of MG Rover and will display branding for XPower on its road and race cars. Where does this leave the other exciting projects we have been hearing about? There is quite a nice photo of S Nearn and a bloke from Rover and some guff about the Prisoner as well. Bob Corb Posted April 10, 2002 Share Posted April 10, 2002 Sounds like they are contracted to supply Rover ONLY, hence the Classic now Rover, Blackbird shot down, and the Fireblade supplied by an outside sub contractor (sortof). Blackbird dropped for "commerical" reasons ie they just weren't selling enough and have been not being sold through Caterham for 6 months or more.
